Access to Independence of San Diego
Mission: Access to Independence, through advocacy, education, and opportunity, promotes full inclusion by empowering and challenging people with disabilities to achieve their greatest potential.

Services: Services designed to improve the lives of individual consumers include: information and referral; individual and systems advocacy; housing options; independent living skills training; client assistance program; assistive technology; Hispanic Outreach; peer counseling; and transition services from skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation hospitals.

The Arc of San Diego

Arc of San DiegoMission: The Arc San Diego, working with families and partnerships within the community, is committed to securing for people with developmental disabilities, the opportunity to choose and realize their dreams and goals of where and how they learn, live, work, and play.

Services: Employment, Arc Enterprises (sub-contract work), community living, child family services, respite services, day training, and recreation.

Community Catalysts of California
Community Catalysts of California

Mission: Community Catalysts California’s fundamental goal is to empower persons with disabilities to live and work successfully in their communities and to reach their highest level of self-sufficiency and independence.

Services: Supported living services, independent living services, vocational services, habilitation services, recreational services, crisis services, transportation services, and licensed residential services.

Developmental Services Continuum
Developmental Services Continuum

Mission: To provide stimulating and normalized living arrangements for youth and adults who have histories of chronic and severe emotional and behavioral challenges. To provide psychiatric, psychological, behavioral and developmental support to assist individuals in developing skills to recognize and successfully meet their emotional and social needs, gain and maintain self control, enhance skills to facilitate living in more independent environments.

Services: Provides short-term and long-term living environments for persons with developmental disabilities ranging in age from 8 to 59 years. Other services include: Lynx-provides support for persons with developmental disabilities who have not been successful in existing services or programs; HireWorks-developed to meet the training needs of staff who provide support for persons with developmental disabilities.

Employment & Community OptionsMission: Employment & Community Options seeks to create and support opportunities for adults with intellectual disabilities in making choices to live, work and enjoy life in their community with dignity and respect.

Services:Supported employment, integrated employment, independent living services, micoenterprise, Autism support and training, supporting people with aging needs.

Home of Guiding Hands
Home of Guiding Hands

Mission: To Improve the Lives of Those We Serve.

Services: Residential services provided to 182 children, adolescents and adults in 31 community based homes, a community living program, respite services, life planning project, early childhood development and transportation for 100 medically fragile individuals.

National Alliance on Mental Illness - San Diego
National Alliance on Mental Illness - San Diego

Mission: NAMI San Diego, a non-profit organization, provides education, support services, and advocacy to improve the quality of life of everyone affected by mental illnesses.

Services: Educational classes and support services to families and clients, information and referral, meetings throughout the San Diego area that address a wide range of topics, newsletters, legislation and advocacy.

Services: Aquatics program, computer program, crafts program, exercise program, music therapy program, organic garden, reading program, senior program, Sophie’s Gallery, speech therapy program, supportive employment.

United Cerebral Palsy Association of San Diego
United Cerebral Palsy Association of San Diego

Mission: To advance the independence, productivity and full citizenship of people affected by cerebral palsy and other disabilities.

Services: Public awareness, professional education and advocacy; information, referral and follow-along; aquatics programs; adult programs; Precision Assembly – bulk mail services; Ready Stamps – ROP training class; family support newsletters and groups; Adaptive Computer Empowerment Services; San Diego Assistive Technology Center / Augmentative Communication Services; software and toy library.

Unyeway Inc. Community Employment Services

Mission: Unyeway’s mission is to enhance and enrich the lives of people with disabilities by employing and empowering them in their communities.

Services: Life skills training programs, work training programs, mobility training, enrichment program for seniors, Ramona Training Center Nursery and production center.

Vista Hill
Vista Hill

Mission: Vista Hill is all about serving families, families, and communities of San Diego. Their programs range from brief early intervention and preventive, to treatment services that help children and families struggling with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and chemical dependencies.

Services: Community Service Programs (addressing substance abuse for teens, family relationships, parenting, etc.), Bridges Service Center, Vista Hill's Don Allen ParentCare Family Recovery Center, Sam & Rose Stein Education Center (programs for children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities), Vista Hill Learning Assistance Center, and more.
